TESLAbikář or how to choose the right LED bulb

Part 5 chromaticity temperature or colour temperature of LED bulbs

We know the sockets, we know the shapes, we know the wattage, we know the luminosity. Another optional variable of LED bulbs is the colour - the colour temperature in Kelvin (K), because we see different shades of light from different sources.

IS WHITE REALLY JUST WHITE?

If we forget that light is important for seeing and perceiving objects or for creating an atmosphere in our home, it is also very important for the human body. We should pay attention to the natural biorhythm. And we should not forget that and take it lightly. Without a doubt, the most important thing is the naturally changing daylight. But there are only 24 hours in a day, and we sleep a third of them at home and spend the other third indoors. In dark lighting, fatigue sets in, and in bright lighting we find it hard to sleep. We can contribute to the right biorhythm of the body by choosing the right bulb with the right values, because each room has its own specifics and serves a different function.

FOR WORK

The daylight white light of LED bulbs is 3500K - 5500K and has no colour tint. It feels very clean, pleasant and more natural to the eyes, comparable to natural light on a sunny day. Recommended for dining rooms, kitchens, cloakrooms and hallways.

FOR RELAXATION

LED bulbs with 2300K - 3500K values are recommended for bedrooms, living rooms and children's rooms. The light from these sources has a yellow tint and reminds of sunset, evoking a calm and friendly atmosphere.

FOR ACTIVITY

LED bulbs with values 5500K - 6500K evoke an atmosphere of formality and purity, therefore they are suitable for spaces requiring activity and concentration. The cool white light has a bluish tint and is suitable for lighting larger areas. Recommended for the study, office, garage or utility room.

Finally, it should be mentioned that each of us perceives light quite individually. These values are only recommendations and may or may not suit some people. However, before buying, we need to think about what we want to illuminate and for what purpose we will need the light.

The next part will be devoted to the color temperature of LED bulbs, which are in the range of TESLA lighting.
